Candlelight vigil set Sept. 12

5:02 p.m., Sept. 9, 2005--An interfaith candlelight vigil led by religious leaders at the University of Delaware will be held on Monday, Sept. 12, beginning at 7:30 p.m., on the north lawn of The Green near Memorial and Hullihen halls and Brown Laboratory.

There will be prayers, readings and music at the vigil, which is being held in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, in memory of those who died and in support of those who are rebuilding their homes and their businesses, their educational systems and their lives.

All members of the campus community are encouraged to attend.

In the event of rain, the candlelight vigil will be held in Mitchell Hall.
