Kristol Hillel Center accredited

1:44 p.m., June 22, 2005--Hillel at the University of Delaware has received accreditation from Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, along with chapters at the universities of Oregon and California at Santa Cruz, the Claremont Colleges and Hillel of Orange County.

Accreditation recognizes the UD chapter’s adherence to Hillel’s international standards of excellence in the areas of governance, student programs, communications, resources and management systems.

The Hillel accreditation team evaluates the foundation’s relationship with its university and local Jewish community.

“The accreditation of these Hillels represents their continued dedication to serving Jewish students on campuses around the world,” Hillel President Avraham Infeld said.

Hillel has accredited 71 foundations across the United States and Canada. The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, the largest Jewish campus organization in the world, “is committed to creatively empowering and engaging Jewish students through its network of more than 500 campus foundations, program centers and affiliates.”
