1969 golf team plays reunion round

4 p.m., May 26, 2005--Eight former UD golf team members who played under legendary coach and athletic administrator Raymond B. “Scotty” Duncan, took part in a golf team reunion on April 26, at Frog Hollow Golf Club in Middletown.

Coach Duncan never had a losing season during his 27-year tenure as golf coach at UD (1963-1990) and led his Blue Hen teams to an overall record of 365-94. His 1977 team won the EIGA tournament and advanced to the NCAA Division I tournament.

Duncan was inducted into the state of Delaware Sports Hall of Fame in 1997 and UD’s Athletics Hall of Fame in November 1999.
