Employee gifts to UD ‘make a difference!’

4:36 p.m., May 10, 2005--“Thank you for supporting excellence at UD!” is the message for employees at the University who contributed to last year’s Employee Campaign.

Last year, more than 800 faculty and staff participated, and the 2005 Employee Campaign is now under way. Gifts made now through June 30 count toward FY2005. After July 1, gifts count toward FY2006.

“We are grateful to faculty and staff who contribute to the Employee Campaign,” Robert Davis, vice president for University development and alumni relations, said. “Not only do their gifts help make UD an outstanding university, their participation sends a message to others that employees regard giving to the University as important and worthwhile.”

Employees may specify what program they wish to support or they may give unrestricted gifts. On the back of the brochure sent to employees is a list of suggested specific areas they may wish to support.

Contributions may be made by check, credit card or payroll deduction by returning the gift card that has been sent to employees or online at [www.udel.edu/employeecampaign].

Gifts to the Center for the Arts made through June 30 will be matched, but this does not include payroll deductions.

For more information, call the Office of Annual Giving at (302) 831-4601.
