Online football auction ends Oct. 28

10:38 a.m., Oct. 21, 2005--Calling all True Blue Hen football fans--time is running out on the opportunity to bid on one-of-a-kind items in UD’s online auction.

The deadline for bidding is noon, Friday, Oct. 28. Items include a UD football and a UD football helmet, both autographed by Head Coach K.C. Keeler. Also on the auctioneer’s card are a San Francisco 49ers helmet and New York Jets helmet, as well as a football signed by Peyton Manning.

Other popular auction items include a round of golf with Coach Keeler and Coach Tubby Raymond and a pair of sideline passes to the Atlantic 10 game on Saturday, Nov. 5, between UD and the University of Massachusetts.

These and other unique items for the serious fan of UD football can be found online at [www.udel.edu/footballauction]. Proceeds from the auction, which is the first of many, benefit the UD football program.

“UD football fans are very passionate about our team and our program,” Gerald Oravitz, manager of football operations, said. “This is a way for them to get close to the program.”
