Free ice cream a hit at Trabant

3:10 p.m., April 22, 2005--More than 4,140 scoops of ice cream were served up Tuesday during Ben & Jerry’s free annual ice cream party at the Trabant University Center.

Sponsored by UD Dining Services, the event is held each spring to thank members of the UD and Newark communities for dining at the Food Court in the Trabant University Center.

Servers who dished out more than 69 tubs, each holding 2 1/2 gallons, reported that Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, with 29 tubs served, repeated as the most popular flavor.
