Singers--Delaware Symphony Orchestra wants you

2:35 p.m., July 27, 2005--Members of the public are invited to audition for the Delaware Symphony Orchestra’s (DSO) holiday chorus from 2-5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 10 and 11, in the Baby Grand Theatre, Studio 4, at 818 N. Market St., Wilmington.

Auditions are open to high school and college students, as well as the general public.

The all-volunteer choir will be part of the DSO’s holiday concert to be performed Sunday, Dec. 11.

Each person has five minutes to audition, and an accompanist will be provided. Those wishing to tryout can bring a selection of their choice. The holiday repertoire will include works by George Frideric Handel and John Rutter.

Those selected will attend four to five rehearsals, still to be scheduled, including dress rehearsal from 2-4:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10.
