Blue Hen bracelets a hit at UD Bookstores

11:53 a.m., June 24, 2005--When UD Bookstore employees began wearing the new Fightin’ Blue Hens wristbands on June 14, a customer who noticed them bought 20 on the spot.

The silicone bracelets, similar to the LIVESTRONG bracelets the Lance Armstrong Foundation made popular, have the interlocking UD logo on one side and the words “FIGHTIN’ BLUE HENS” on the other.

The bracelets, available at all UD Bookstore locations, cost $1.98. All students attending New Student Convocation at the beginning of fall semester will receive bracelets gratis.
