Police investigate alleged rape

3:47 p.m., April 12, 2005--Newark Police are investigating an alleged rape of a female student that reportedly occurred last weekend at the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house at 55 South Chapel St., Newark.

Reports are being compiled about the incident, and it appears that the alleged assault happened late Saturday, April 9, or early Sunday, April 10.

The female student involved is receiving support and counseling services from the University.
