Newark Police arrest bank robbery suspect

10:14 a.m., June 8, 2005--Newark Police arrested Crystal L. Hyde, 20, on June 7 for the armed robbery of the Wachovia Bank, 622 South College Ave., on Friday, May 20.

Hyde entered the bank and confronted a bank teller, handing her a demand note. After an undisclosed amount of money was turned over, Hyde fled the bank, crossing South College Avenue into the Delaware Stadium parking lot.

Hyde was charged with first degree robbery. Unable to post $10,000 secured bond, she was transported to the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institute.
