I-95 north closed in Wilmington May 13-16

10:02 a.m., May 13, 2005--DelDOT will make emergency repairs to the 10th Street bridge over I-95 in Wilmington beginning from 10 p.m., Friday, May 13, through 5 a.m., Monday, May 16. This work requires the full closure of I-95 north from the I-495 split to 10th Street.

Northbound motorists will be detoured to I-495 at the 95/495 split. The Martin Luther King Boulevard ramp and the I-295 ramp to I-95 north will both be closed off to traffic. Southbound I-95 will not be impacted.

The repair work will replace a damaged girder on the 10th Street bridge struck April 5 by an oversized tractor-trailer.

Motorists are advised to avoid the vicinity if possible and to expect delays if they must travel through the area during the closure period.
