New UDirectory: Who’s who for Class of 2008

Behind these shades is a VIP* who knows what’s happening. New Students can, too, with the New UDirectory. (*Very Important Poultry)
4:13 p.m., June 18, 2004--The 2004-05 New UDirectory is made to order and a must- have for new students to help them make the transition to college life.

The soft-bound book features photographs and information on members of the Class of 2008 and transfer students. Emphasizing student involvement, the New UDirectory is chock full of useful information, focusing on student organizations and special web sites to watch. There also are photographs of UD’s beautiful campus, plus special coupons from local merchants.

Sponsored by the Delaware Undergraduate Student Congress and published by UD’s Office of Public Relations, the 8 1/2-x11-inch softbound book will be mailed to those who purchase it just before students come to campus.

“This is the third year we have offered the New UDirectory, and it has been popular with students and parents,” Sheri Sutton, public relations, said.

Single copies are $24.99, and the directory also is available to parents, grandparents and others. They may add a message of encouragement, pride or congratulations for their student that will be printed in a special section at the back for $5. Payment may be made by check, money order, debit or credit card.

New students and their parents have been mailed forms and may drop off their photos and completed forms at a special booth at DelaWorld orientation sessions from 2:30-3:30 p.m. when they visit campus, or they may mail them to Sheri Sutton, Office of Public Relations, University of Delaware, The Academy Building, Newark, DE 19716-7201. The forms should be postmarked no later than July 30.

For more about the New UDirectory, visit the web site at [www.udel.edu/PR/TheNewU], where you will soon be able to order online.
