Site Mentor
Part-time, non-benefit position is 15-20 hours per week; Monday-Friday; 1:45pm to 5:15pm; must be at least eighteen (18) years of age; Education Requirement: 3 college credits OR 60 clock hours of training related to the needs of the school-age children and the equivalent of 1 year experience working with school age youth in a group setting; middle school experience a plus; must also be able to work between Kirk, Gauger and Shue Middle Schools. Responsibilities: serve as youth mentor providing hands-on learning opportunities for students while maintaining a safe and enriching environment, as well as, clerical duties (keyboarding, filing, paperwork and calls) as assigned. The Office of Conferences is looking for set-up help for Alumni Weekend (Thursday, June 4th – Sunday, 7th, 2015) Prospective set-up members should be able to lift (at a minimum) thirty pounds and be able to stand on their feet for hours on end. This event is outdoors in June, so prospective set-up team members should also be able to handle summer weather temperatures. Prospective employees will be required to provide a driver’s license / state ID, a Social Security card, a birth certificate and a blank check so they can be entered into the University’s payroll system. Pay for the weekend will be $8.50 per hour, with hours available on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a maximum of 20 hours. This job is ideal for university student around for the first half of summer, high school students looking for extra work or anyone looking for short term employment.
