The Healthy Relationships Group is open to those who are experiencing or have experienced unhealthy intimate partner relationship dynamics, or for students who may be questioning whether or not the dynamics of their relationships are healthy.
“The Healthy Relationships group will provide a space for students to build their communication skills, identify what they want and expect in a partner, learn how to set healthy boundaries and discover fair fighting and conflict resolution methods,” says Jennifer Ewald, intimate partner violence counselor.
The group will run for approx. 8-10 weeks in the fall semester on Thursday evenings. The meeting time and exact start date (late September or early October) will be dependent on student availability.
Interested students should call Ewald at Student Wellness and Health Promotion at 302-831-3457 or send email to jewald@udel.edu.
The Empowerment Support Group for Survivors of Sexual Assault is open to all survivors, including women, men, gender non-conformists, transgender, lesbian, gay, straight and bisexual members of the UD community.
“The Empowerment Support Group will provide a safe space for survivors of sexual assault to support one another, relate to other students and learn more about the process of healing,” Ewald said.
Angela Seguin, Sexual Offense Support (SOS) coordinator and counselor, will lead this group.
This support group will run for approximately 8-10 weeks in the fall from 6-8 p.m., either Wednesday or Thursday evenings. The weekday and exact start date (late September or early October) will be selected depending on student availability.
Interested students should call Seguin at Student Wellness and Health Promotion at 302-831-3457.
