Oct. 16: 'Carnaval to Carnival'
Carnivals from around the world come to life in Perkins Live event Friday
8:27 a.m., Oct. 12, 2015--University Student Centers and the Office for International Students and Scholars at the University of Delaware have partnered for the next Perkins Live event, slated for Friday, Oct. 16.
The “From Carnaval to Carnival” night will begin at 9 p.m. with a Brazilian and Italian-themed carnaval (or carnevale), a semi-formal masquerade dance featuring free masks and music by DJ Dommis. At 10 p.m., a traditional American carnival will open throughout Perkins Student Center, complete with performers, festival food and more. All UD students, scholars and their families are invited to take part.
Perkins Live events are free and take place every Friday night in Perkins Student Center at 325 Academy St.
Hourly parking is available in the Perkins garage directly adjacent to the student center.
A special Perkins Live Express shuttle will run from Laird Campus to Perkins Student Center from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Perkins Student Center is also served by the Evening 1 and Evening 2 shuttle buses arriving every 45 minutes until 11:40 p.m., as well as by the Late Bird 1 and Late Bird 2 routes arriving every 45 minutes from 12:20 a.m. until 3:25 a.m.
