UDance to host first annual FTK Field Day

6:28 p.m., Oct. 6, 2015--UDance, a registered student organization at the University of Delaware dedicated to raising awareness and funds for pediatric cancer, will hold its first annual FTK Field Day at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 11, on the Harrington Turf.

Activities will include yard games, such as corn hole, ring toss and volleyball. The event also will provide an opportunity for students to bond with B+ Heroes, who are children who either have or have had cancer. They are paired with student organizations at the University through the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation.

June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

Admission to the field day is free.

UDance is a 12-hour philanthropic dance marathon that is the University's largest student-run philanthropy. It has donated $3.56 million to the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation in order to provide emotional and financial support to families affected by cancer across the country.
