United Way 2015 employee campaign raises $121,966.38

1:51 p.m., Nov. 20, 2015--The University of Delaware’s 2015 United Way employee campaign has raised pledges totaling $121,966.38. 

“The 2015 campaign, which ran from Oct. 19 through Nov. 13, was an amazing accomplishment given the timeline of our four week campaign,“ said Tom LaPenta, chief human resources officer at the University.

“This accomplishment once again demonstrates our faculty and staff are a wonderful caring community,” he said. “With our help, the United Way makes a real difference for children, seniors, veterans and people struggling in the local communities. Thank you to everyone who participated.”

The United Way of Delaware is the largest fundraising organization in the state, with more than 65 years of experience providing high quality direct community impact work and expertise in identifying high-need community issues. It supports more than 100 agencies with such key goals as helping children and youth achieve their potential, promoting financial stability and independence and improving health.
