University Library offers 'Introduction to Film and Video Collection' workshop

8:26 a.m., Jan. 26, 2016--The University of Delaware Library will present a workshop titled “Introduction to Film and Video Collection” on Tuesday, Feb. 9, focusing on film and video resources and services related to classroom instructional support and research. 

This workshop will provide an overview of film and video resources and services available at the University of Delaware Library Film and Video Collection. Those who plan to attend should note that this session does not cover production resources available at the Student Multimedia Design Center.

Those who are teaching this semester and want to know the most seamless and copyright conscious ways to integrate media into classes will find the workshop helpful. The following questions will be addressed within this workshop: How can more media be incorporated into teaching? What films and videos are available for class viewing? How can videos be checked out and scheduled for future use in my class?  

“Introduction to Film and Video Collection” will be offered from 1-2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 9, in the Film and Video Viewing Room on the lower level of the Morris Library.

Presenter will be Meghann Matwichuk, associate librarian and interim head, Multimedia Collections and Services Department.

The workshop is available at no charge and is open to University faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required. Online registration is available at this site
