UD Synchronized Skating Team wins silver medal at Dr. Porter Classic

11 a.m., Dec. 9, 2015--The University of Delaware Synchronized Skating Team won the silver medal in its season opening competition at the 20th annual Dr. Richard Porter Synchronized Classic held Dec. 4-6 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The UD team compiled a score of 71.90 for the silver in a deep field of varsity and club sports team from throughout the Midwest and East Coast.

University of Delaware junior Claire Brown has been named second team Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-Region.

Unsung Hero

The One Love Foundation has announced that University of Delaware men's lacrosse standout Elijah Conte has been selected as a winner of the 2016 YRL Unsung Hero Award.

Competing teams included the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, Miami University, Western Michigan University, Adrian College, the University of Maryland, Liberty University and the University of Notre Dame. 

Skating to selections from the movie Dirty Dancing, the UD team started off with a strong creative element and finished the program with a vault in which a skater was lifted into a back flip.
