Yale, HHMI researcher to present Arnold M. Clark Memorial Lecture
8:28 a.m., April 19, 2016--Joan A. Steitz, of Yale University and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI), will present the Arnold M. Clark Memorial Lecture sponsored by the University of Delaware’s Department of Biological Sciences at 5 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, in the Wolf Hall auditorium.
Steitz will speak on the topic “Noncoding RNAs of Viral and Cellular Origins: More Surprises.”

Steitz is the Sterling Professor of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry at Yale and investigator at HHMI, and is known for her pioneering work in RNA.
The Arnold M. Clark Memorial Lecture in Molecular Genetics was generously established in 2005 by UD alumni Howard E. Hudson Jr. and Patricia Coyne Hudson, both of the Class of 1963. The couple endowed the lectureship to honor the memory of Howard Hudson’s mentor, Arnold Clark.
