3:32 p.m., Sept. 2, 2014--John Quinones of ABC News will be the featured speaker during a Latino Heritage Month Extravaganza event to be held at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 18, in the Multipurpose Rooms of the Trabant University Center at the University of Delaware.

His topic will be “A 20/20 View of Hispanic America.”

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

The event is organized by UD’s Center for Black Culture, and is free and open to the public.

Quinones is the anchor of the television show What Would You Do?, one of the highest rated newsmagazines in recent years. During his 25-year tenure at ABC News, he has reported extensively for all programs and served as a co-anchor and correspondent for Primetime and 20/20. He has won seven national Emmy Awards for his work.
