'O Brother, Where Art Thou?' featured in series on political humor in film
11:53 a.m., Sept. 15, 2014--The series “Fade to Black: Dark Political Humor in American Film” will open this week with a screening of the Coen brothers’ film O Brother, Where Art Thou? at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17, in Mitchell Hall.
The series is being held in conjunction with the National Agenda speaker series, and is running on alternate Wednesdays. It is free and open to the public.

June 5: Blue Hen 5K
University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.
June 6-9: Food and culture series
The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.
Lindsay Hoffman, associate professor of communication, will introduce the films.
Future films in the series include Dr. Strangelove on Oct. 8, Wag the Dog on Oct. 22, Do the Right Thing on Nov. 5 and Thank You for Smoking on Dec. 3.
