Library offers 'New Castle County GIS Viewer' multimedia workshop
9:03 a.m., Sept. 5, 2014--The University of Delaware Library will present a workshop on “New Castle County GIS Viewer” on Monday, Sept. 22.
The government of New Castle County, Delaware, has integrated public data about real property into a Geographic Information System (GIS) with a user-friendly web front end.

Workshop participants will learn how to navigate the map viewer, locate and identify properties, display property information and generate lists based on subdivision or distance from a location.
Participants will also learn techniques for preparing maps for printing or sharing and how to locate current and old aerial photographs of New Castle County.
The workshop will be offered from 10 a.m.-noon, Monday, Sept. 22, in Room A of the Student Multimedia Design Center on the lower level of the Morris Library.
Presenter will be John Stevenson, associate librarian, Student Multimedia Design Center.
The workshop is available at no charge and open to University of Delaware faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required. Online registration is available.
