University Student Centers host 13th annual YoUDee Leadership Awards

1:13 p.m., May 20, 2015--The University Student Centers (USC) hosted the 13th annual YoUDee Leadership Awards ceremony on Thursday, May 14, in the Trabant University Center’s Multipurpose Room in recognition of outstanding efforts on campus.

Awards presented at this year’s ceremony celebrated exemplary University of Delaware student leaders, groups and events, as well as a variety of achievements through the Bernie Coslar Award for Service and the Grossman Memorial Award for dedication to campus-wide co-curricular programming.

Honors Stories

National Medal of Science

President Barack Obama recently presented the National Medal of Science to University of Delaware alumnus Rakesh Jain.

Warren Award

Rosalind Johnson, assistant dean for student success in the NUCLEUS Program in UD's College of Arts and Sciences, was presented the John Warren Excellence in Leadership and Service Award during a May 26 ceremony.

This year, the Outstanding Registered Student Organization (RSO) Philanthropy Program award was renamed in honor of UDance dance marathon, which just surpassed $1 million in annual fundraising for the first time.
