Motivated students sought for student leadership positions

5:47 p.m., May 4, 2015--The University of Delaware Student Government Association (SGA)  has announced that applications are now being accepted for open positions for the 2015-16 academic year. 

SGA is looking for highly motivated individuals interested in applying for the positions listed below, which are to be appointed in May:

As it neared time for the processional to open the University of Delaware Commencement ceremonies, graduating students and faculty members shared their feelings about what the event means to them.

Doctoral hooding

It was a day of triumph, cheers and collective relief as more than 160 students from 21 nations participated in the University of Delaware's Doctoral Hooding Convocation held Friday morning on The Green.

• Three programming senators;

• Three finance senators;

• Two governmental affairs senators;

• Two judicial affairs senators; and

• One chief of staff.

The application will close at 10 p.m., Tuesday, May 5. 

An interest meeting for the appointed positions will be held at 7 p.m.,  Monday, May 4, in the SGA office, 019M Perkins Student Center.

The Student Government Association, which represents the undergraduate student population, aims to enhance student life by actively addressing student issues as the liaison among students, faculty and administration.
