MALS spring semester
UD's Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program still accepting applications
2:27 p.m., Jan. 15, 2015--The University of Delaware’s nontraditional Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) program is still accepting applications for spring 2015.
Unlike traditional graduate programs focused on a single discipline and with specific vocational objectives, MALS provides multidisciplinary opportunities for students to further their intellectual growth, savor the delights of learning for its own sake or advance their careers.

The program emphasizes a broad approach to questions of culture, ethics and human experience, with students encouraged to make connections between various fields of learning.
MALS is designed for students to pursue their own multidisciplinary interests while developing the graduate-level skills of a liberal education, including:
- To think freely;
- To imagine adventurously;
- To choose discriminately; and
- To understand deeply.
The program encourages prospective students to learn more about MALS and about the help that might be available through employer education-reimbursement programs and for Delaware residents who are age 60 or older.
