Judith Giordan to answer questions, share insights during presentation at UD
3:12 p.m., Jan. 9, 2015--Industry expert Judith Giordan will visit the University of Delaware on Wednesday, Jan. 21, to discuss the commercialization of science and technology during a “Lunch and Learn” event hosted by the Horn Program in Entrepreneurship and the Delaware Sustainable Chemistry Alliance (DESCA).
Giordan is vice president and managing director at ecosVC, a venture development and investment firm, as well as co-founder of the Chemical Angel Network. She also serves as a board member and adviser to science and engineering intensive start‐ups, and as such is currently chief technology officer of Qteros.

Giordan calls the commercialization of technology based on university research a “contact sport” that is an increasingly important and ever-changing field.
During the discussion, Giordan will answer the crucial question: In this shifting landscape, where everyone can play, what does it take to play well and very successfully?
Lunch will be provided to all attendees of the event, which will take place at the Horn Program’s Venture Development Center at 132 E. Delaware Ave. from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
All UD students and faculty may attend this event for free but are asked to register for the event here for catering purposes.
