Library offers 'Orientation to Film and Video Collection' workshop
12:28 p.m., Dec. 9, 2014--The University of Delaware Library will present a workshop titled “Introduction to Film and Video Collection Resources” during 2015 Winter Session focusing on film and video resources and services related to classroom instructional support and research.
This workshop will provide an overview of film and video resources and services available at the University Library. The following questions will be addressed within this workshop: How can more media be incorporated into teaching? What films and videos are available for class viewing? How can videos be checked out and scheduled for future use in my class?

The session will begin with a tour of the Film and Video Collection facilities, which include viewing carrels, a Viewing Room and a Media Research Room. Participants will be shown how to search the collection in DELCAT Discovery and how to access streaming video databases. They will be given an online tour of the Film and Video website.
The “Orientation to Film and Video Collection” will be offered from 2-3 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 6, in the Film and Video Collection Viewing Room on the lower level of the Morris Library. Meghann Matwichuk, associate librarian, Multimedia Collections and Services Department, will be the presenter.
This workshop is available at no charge and is open to UD faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required. Online registration is available at this website.
