Alumni Association seeks nominations for volunteer opportunity, awards

2:48 p.m., Dec. 2, 2014--The University of Delaware Alumni Association (UDAA) is accepting nominations for the board of directors, Alumni Wall of Fame award, and the Warner and Taylor Awards for seniors.

June 6: UDid It! Picnic

All UD faculty and staff members are invited to attend the annual UDid It! employee appreciation picnic, set from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Monday, June 6, on The Green.

Nominations are now being accepted until Jan. 23 for the UDAA board of directors. New members will begin four-year terms on July 1, 2015. Previous volunteer experience, especially with UD, and giving history are considered. For more information and a nomination form, visit this website.

Outstanding professional and public service achievements by UD graduates are recognized with the Alumni Wall of Fame Award. Recipients are honored at a ceremony and reception held during Alumni Weekend. Connection to UD and giving history are also considered. Deadline for nominations is Jan. 23. Student nominations

The UDAA Emalea Pusey Warner and Alexander J. Taylor Sr. Awards annually honor an outstanding woman and man, respectively, of the senior class. Recipients are awarded $2,500, are recognized at a luncheon and lead the alumni delegate procession at Commencement in the spring. Nominees must demonstrate outstanding academic success, community service and leadership and must have a 3.0 or better cumulative index. Deadline for nominations is Feb. 25.
