SCPAB announces fall semester film series schedule for Fridays, Saturdays

3:31 p.m., Aug. 26, 2014--The University of Delaware Student Centers Programming Advisory Board (SCPAB) has announced its fall semester film series schedule.

The series will feature movies in the Trabant University Center Theatre every weekend on Friday and Saturday at 8 and 10 p.m. through November.

June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

• July 22: WWE Heatwave Tour
• Through Sept. 16: Women of color in academia

Only one film will be shown per night unless otherwise indicated.

Tickets cost $3 each and can be purchased at the box office in the Trabant University Center any day during the week.

There will be two outdoor movies this semester. The first is Maleficent on the Harrington Turf on Friday, Aug. 29, beginning at 9:30 p.m. 

The second will be a double feature of 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street on the North Green on Friday, Sept. 12, beginning at 7 p.m. 

The outdoor movie will be the only movies shown on those days and are free.

All films are open to students, staff and the public.

Sept. 12 (outdoors): 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street

Sept. 26 and 27: The Fault In Our Stars

Oct. 3 and 4: X-Men: Days of Future Past

Oct. 10 and 11: How to Train Your Dragon 1 and 2

Oct. 17 and 18: Blended

Oct. 24 and 25: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Oct. 31 and Nov. 1: The Purge: Anarchy

Nov. 7 and 8: Guardians of the Galaxy

Nov. 14 and 15: Sex Tape
