Faculty invited to attend 'Developing Online Education Opportunities with UNISA'
12:44 p.m., April 22, 2015--University of Delaware faculty members with an interest in global engagement are invited to register for an inspiring and engaging workshop on developing online learning opportunities with the University of South Africa (UNISA), Africa's leading open distance learning institution.
The workshop will take place on Thursday, April 30, from 2:30-5 p.m., in the Faculty Commons (116 Pearson Hall).

Mandla Makhanya, UNISA professor and vice chancellor, will open the program with a brief history and discussion of the modern-day role of a university that is “proudly African in the service of humanity.”
Participants will hear from three UD faculty members who are putting online learning into practice in their classrooms before engaging in discussion and activities to further their own potential efforts.
Makhanya and key University members will be on hand to offer insight and assistance.
Those who plan to attend are encouraged to register now for this limited-space event.
The event, part of the UD South Africa Month Celebration, is co-sponsored by the Institute for Global Studies, Academic Technology Services, Center for Teaching and Assessment of Learning and Professional and Continuing Studies.
