'Let's Talk: Publishing Your Book' with UD Press senior editor Julia Oestreich

12:03 p.m., April 20, 2015--The University of Delaware’s Faculty Commons is hosting "Let's Talk: Publishing Your Book," a series of open hours from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday April 28, through Thursday, April 30, in which Julia Oestreich, senior editor of the University of Delaware Press, will be available to answer questions about the publication process. 

As a publishing professional, Oestreich can answer questions faculty may have about the publication process and provide tips about getting manuscripts accepted.

June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

• Through Sept. 16: Women of color in academia

This event will help provide all faculty who intend to publish, or for whom publishing is an important element of pursuing promotion or tenure, with current information on publishing standards and processes. 

Oestreich will also provide insight into the publication industry’s attitude regarding copyright, digital publishing and open access.
