Leaders from Bloomberg to visit UD for panel discussion on industry success

3:23 p.m., April 21, 2015--Leading professionals from Bloomberg L.P. will visit the University of Delaware on Tuesday, May 12, for a panel discussion on “The Path to Industry Success.”

This panel is hosted by UD’s Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics in partnership with Bloomberg, and will be moderated by UD undergraduate student Rebecca Leisher. Leisher is a junior studying business administration and economics.

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

Panelists will include:

  • Paul Sweeney, U.S. director of research and senior analyst, Bloomberg Intelligence
  • Rosana Bitar, head of Bloomberg’s department of fixed income, funds and holdings data
  • Ken Mackiewicz, software development manager and head of the equity research analysis team in Bloomberg’s research and development department, UD civil and environmental engineering and computer and information sciences alumnus
  • Ben Zimmerman, head of Bloomberg’s technology implementation group
  • Brendan Reskakis, institutional salesperson within Bloomberg’s core terminal department, UD finance alumnus
  • Danielle Shannon, manager of global customer support, Bloomberg

The panel discussion will take place from 2:30-4 p.m. in the Louise and David Roselle Center for the Arts’ Gore Recital Hall.
