Library offers multimedia workshop 'Production Basics – Frame It, Mic It, Light It'
10:01 a.m., Sept. 23, 2013--The University of Delaware Library will present a workshop titled “Production Basics – Frame It, Mic It, Light It” on the basics of film production from 2-4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 17.
Shooting a successful video requires planning and an understanding of a few basics of film production. This workshop will introduce participants to techniques that will make film footage look and sound better.

The workshop will also demonstrate equipment that is available to be borrowed from the Student Multimedia Design Center in order to successfully:
The “frame it” portion of the workshop will provide information on the use of cameras and tripods, “mic it” will look at the use of booms or lavaliers, and “light it” will look at the use of three-point lighting techniques and more.
The workshop will meet in Room B of the Student Multimedia Design Center on the lower level of the Morris Library. Presenters will be Hannah Lee and Nico Carver, assistant librarians in the Student Multimedia Design Center.
This workshop is available at no charge and is open to University faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required. Online registration is available.
