The grand opening of the Student Leadership Center will be held Thursday, Sept. 12, starting at 5 p.m. in Trabant Theatre.
The event will feature keynote speaker Corey Ciocchetti, who will present “Chasing Authentic Success,” and will continue in Trabant 157A with a ribbon cutting ceremony and reception. All members of the UD community are welcome and are encouraged to attend, and can RSVP at this link.
The BHLP is the University’s three-tiered student leadership certification program, coordinated through the Leadership Development office of the University Student Centers.
Enrollment in BHLP has grown exponentially in recent years, with 459 students participating at various levels throughout 2012-13.
The new center will promote continued growth of the program and provide programming space as well as project work areas for BHLP students.
The reception area will be staffed by six BHLP participants, who will facilitate multiple interest sessions throughout the semester and assist with various programs.
