Guest artist Vincent Thomas to lead free modern dance master class

7:55 a.m., Oct. 31, 2013--The University of Delaware dance minor will offer a free modern dance master class with guest artist Vincent Thomas on Friday afternoon, Nov. 1.

The class will meet from 4-6 p.m. in 118 Hartshorn Hall.

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

Anyone with intermediate or advanced level dance experience is invited to attend. This includes students, faculty, staff and members of the public.

Thomas' visit to UD is funded in part through the President's Diversity Initiative artist-in-residence program. He joins several artists visiting this year to help produce the dance minor's annual faculty concert.

Thomas is an award-winning dancer, choreographer and teacher, on faculty at the Urban Bush Women Summer Institutes in New York and an associate professor at Towson University.
