Old Centrex telephone pick up to begin Monday, Nov. 18

10:07 a.m., Nov. 15, 2013--University of Delaware Telephone Services has announced that the reclamation company hired to recycle the old Centrex telephones will begin pick up of the equipment the week of Nov. 18.

The company will begin on North and West campuses on Monday, Nov. 18, and move on to West, South, East and Central campuses on Monday, Nov. 25 and Tuesday, Nov. 26.

Telephone Services requests that units collect all old Centrex telephones and place the phones in boxes in one central location on the building’s first floor, near a loading dock if available.

If a unit is unable to meet the date of pick up, send email to Telephone Services. Telephone Services will make arrangements with the department to pick up the unit’s old equipment.

In addition, to accommodate any unit that needs to have phones removed immediately from their area, departments may also deposit boxed telephones in the large cardboard bins available at the General Services Building (GSB) loading dock.
