Student poets to read their work at free public event

3:23 p.m., May 13, 2014--Students from the Advanced Poetry Writing Workshop, taught by Jeanne Murray Walker, professor of English, will give a poetry reading at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 16, in the University of Delaware Barnes and Noble bookstore.

The event is free and open to the public.

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

The poems are described as funny, surprising and moving. Students invite the community to “come, sip a latte and enjoy a break from end-of-semester madness.”
