Library offers 'Now Showing in the Library: Streaming Media Resources' workshop
9:20 a.m., March 4, 2014--The University of Delaware Library will offer faculty and instructors a workshop on March 13 titled “Now Showing in the Library: Streaming Media Resources.”
The workshop will feature the newly available database, NBC Learn Higher Ed. It will illustrate how teachers can find streaming media specific to their course goals and how these resources can be incorporated into their curricula.

The workshop will provide a hands-on overview of licensed streaming media resources available through the library, including NBC Learn Higher Ed and various Alexander Street Press databases such as VAST: Academic Video Online.
Participants will learn how to effectively search for media within these resources and how to create custom clips and playlists.
The session will be offered from 10-11:30 a.m., Thursday, March 13, in the Film and Video Collection Department Viewing Room on the lower level of the Morris Library.
Presenters will be Margaret Grotti, senior assistant librarian, Reference and Instructional Services Department, and Meghann Matwichuk, associate librarian, Film and Video Department.
This workshop is available at no charge and are open to University of Delaware faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required. Online registration is available at this website.
