Vita Nova restaurant now accepting reservations for spring semester

8:08 a.m., Jan. 13, 2014--Vita Nova, the University of Delaware’s student-run restaurant located on the second floor of the Trabant University Center, is now accepting reservations for the spring semester.

Vita Nova opens for lunch Monday, Feb. 17, and for dinner Wednesday, Feb. 19.

As it neared time for the processional to open the University of Delaware Commencement ceremonies, graduating students and faculty members shared their feelings about what the event means to them.

Doctoral hooding

It was a day of triumph, cheers and collective relief as more than 160 students from 21 nations participated in the University of Delaware's Doctoral Hooding Convocation held Friday morning on The Green.

The students offer an award winning lunch buffet Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. and elegant four-course dining Wednesday through Friday from 5:30 p.m. Reservations are recommended.

For those guests looking for more casual fare, the Darden Bistro, also located on the second floor of Trabant, offers a three-course theatre menu, a tapas style small plate menu, custom cocktails and an extensive wine selection. The Darden Bistro is open Wednesday through Friday from 5:30 p.m.

The Vita Nova Restaurant Laboratory is dedicated to educating tomorrow's hospitality professionals, and is part of the Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management within the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics.
