From a humble beginning with five local shows, The Basement now boasts the largest number of live and local shows in its history with a schedule of 26 programs that slightly outnumber WVUD’s current student offerings.
With WVUD’s program director, Attalie Carnavali, and operations board at the helm, The Basement airs a rich array of modern music and themed talk shows around the clock by students and veteran disc jockeys alike.
Flagship broadcasting for the Delaware 87ers basketball team and a wide variety of Blue Hen Sports coverage can also be found on The Basement.
Listeners can find The Basement online, at 91.3-2 on HD radio, on channel 13.1 of UD cable television, and in select campus dining halls including The Scrounge at Perkins Student Center.
Both The Basement and WVUD are exclusively supported by the local community. Radiothon, happening now through April 13, raises funds to keep both stations operational for another year. Donations are accepted year-round at the website and during the pledge period at 302-831-2701.
