The organization will also welcome back three a cappella groups that successfully performed at last semester’s concert, including the MelUDees, ChaiNamics and the Deltones.
“We hope that the PRSSA-UD community and fans campuswide will once again come together to listen to unbelievably talented students and support our organization,” said Elizabeth Coulbourn, PRSSA operations director.
PRSSA-UD hopes to surpass totals raised last semester and funds raised will go toward PRSSA’s 2014 National Conference in Washington, D.C., set in October.
“PRSSA-UD's ‘Perfect Pitch’ fundraiser is so important to the growth of our organization and our members,” said Jamie Lawlor, PRSSA president. “The money raised will go toward sending a group of our members to National Conference, where students participate in professional development workshops, networking and so much more. It's a huge learning experience for passionate young professionals.”
The a cappella fundraiser welcomes friends, fans, and faculty from the University community. Admission will be $3 at the door and PRSSA-UD will also raffle off a number of different gift cards.
PRSSA-UD encourages audience members to use #UDpitch for social media participation. For more information on the performers, visit the Student Central website.
