Alums to join Physician Assistant Club to share career information

9:29 a.m., April 15, 2014--The Physician Assistant Club at the University of Delaware will host its second annual Spring Physician Assistant Panel from 8-9:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, in 127 Memorial Hall.

The program will feature three UD alums who are now practicing PAs. Topics to be covered include cardiology and critical care (Kristen Paul), orthopedic surgery (Tom Merring), and infectious disease and urgent care (Michelle Evers).

June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

“We invite students in all majors to come and learn about the role of physician assistants in the medical field,” says PA club president Conor Cahalan. “Our panelists will share how they chose this career path and tell us it’s like to be in the fastest growing medical profession in the U.S.”

Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the program will run from 8-9:30 p.m. For more information, email Cahalan at conordc@udel.edu.
