New Motor Pool web form
UD Motor Pool's request for service form updated April 7
10:28 a.m., April 7, 2014--University of Delaware Motor Pool, in collaboration with General Accounting and IT Web Development, has updated the Motor Pool’s request for service form.
The form not only includes updates to information specifically needed to arrange for use of a UD vehicle but is also the first of many web forms to include a standardized mechanism to collect financial and billing information.

This mechanism will allow for the completion of funding information to be consistent across all of the web forms. In addition, most of the rules and validation of information will also be consistent.
The new version ensures that the unit is collecting all relevant information across all forms, including grant-matching information where appropriate.
Further, this new functionality provides an opportunity to automatically populate or limit choices for some information, such as an account, if the account for that form is to be chosen from a limited set of values.
The Motor Pool request for service form has used this feature to automatically populate account 130400 for all of its forms. This prevents errors and makes completion of the form easier for users.
Owners of web forms that include funding information were invited to a demonstration of the new funding population mechanism in preparation for this feature's being added to their web forms in the near future.
The goal is to have the feature on all web forms in the next year. If any web form owners would still like a demonstration, contact Carol Rylee at rylee@udel.edu or view but don’t submit the request for service Motor Pool form in web forms.
