8:15 a.m., Sept. 25, 2012--The University of Delaware’s Office of New Student Orientation is accepting applications for 2013 Orientation Leaders (OLs).

OLs will officially welcome new Blue Hens to campus during New Student Orientation and help ease the transition of freshmen, transfer and international students and their families.

Campus Stories

PT STAR

The physical therapy classrooms on the University of Delaware's STAR Campus are adding new dimensions to education for both teachers and learners.

Ice cream finalists

The five finalists have been chosen for the Alumni Weekend's Dela-bration Ice Cream Flavor contest, and members of the campus community get to decide which flavor is the cream of the crop by voting online.

To be an OL, a student must have attended UD for at least one full semester prior to January 2013, be in good academic and disciplinary standing, have a minimum 2.5 grade point average, and love being a Blue Hen.

OLs will receive on-campus housing and parking during NSO 2013, a $2,400 stipend, limited meals, free UD swag, and an outstanding leadership experience.

Interest meetings will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 3, Monday, Oct. 8, and Thursday, Oct. 11, at 7 p.m., in 217 Gore Hall. Former OLs and New Student Orientation staff will share their experiences and what to expect from the position.

For complete information and to apply, see the New Student Orientation website. Applications are due by 4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 12

Any questions about the Orientation Leader position or selection process should be directed to John Michael Pantlik at 302-831-3378 or via email at jmp@udel.edu.
