FYI Stories

Spencer to reopen Saturday

Following a Friday afternoon fire, the University of Delaware's Spencer Laboratory will reopen at 8 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 30, with the exception of Suites 131 and 133, which will be closed until further notice.

App for safety

UD now has a smartphone safety app that helps prevent crime and enables police better respond to incidents, making students even safer while at school.

Students can pledge to be a HERO at the Sept. 8 and Sept. 15 football games, as well as sign up to participate in the "Get Moving UD" Wellness Fair and 5K Walk/Run in a HERO tent in the fan zone.

Sororities, fraternities and RSOs are encouraged to sign up for the 5k Walk/Run, and to contact a University representative about participating in the HERO Campaign.

For more information about the HERO Campaign, see the website.
