Oct. 7: Quest for the Clover

New Castle County 4-H to hold inaugural 5K run

11:56 a.m., Sept. 19, 2012--The New Castle County 4-H program will hold its inaugural Quest for the Clover 5K race at 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 7. 

Registration and the starting line will be at Christiana Towers on the University of Delaware’s Laird Campus, with the finish on Creek Road. Awards and snacks will be provided upon completion of the race.

Jan. 27-June 12: 'Sumter to Appomattox'

The University of Delaware Library has announced a new exhibition "From Fort Sumter to the Appomattox Court House: The American Civil War," which will be on view from Jan. 27 through June 12.

Jan. 27-July 3: 'Coastal Zone Act'

An exhibition on "The Legacy of the Delaware Coastal Zone Act: Conserving the First State" will be on view from Jan. 27 through July 3 in the Morris Library.

All proceeds will benefit the NCC 4-H program on both the county and club level. 4-H is a youth development organization serving children ages 5-19 that covers hundreds of project areas and strives to reach youth in three national mission mandates: healthy living, citizenship and science.

Registration prior to Oct. 3 is $20 for adults and $15 for students. After Oct. 3, the price is $25 per person.
