UDress to promote World Sight Day, Breast Cancer Awareness Month

1:44 p.m., Oct. 23, 2012--The UDress Magazine philanthropy team will host an event from 5-7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26, in the Kirkwood Room of the University of Delaware’s Perkins Student Center to spread awareness of Toms Shoes and the company’s involvement in World Sight Day and to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“Fashion can play a greater role in society besides just being something that people can wear and enjoy, and Toms is a great example of that,” says Laura Massey, philanthropy director for UDress. “They are a fashion forward company and their shoes and clothing have become extremely popular, however, they have a social mission too and they help thousands of people worldwide. This event is to spread awareness of not only Toms, but also other companies that are sharing this mission of being fashionable while also doing good.”
