UD offers faculty, staff appreciation programming for Homecoming weekend

10:10 a.m., Oct. 8, 2012--Special faculty and staff appreciation programming will be held Homecoming weekend, Oct. 19-21, by University of Delaware Athletics and the Office of Human Resources.

“Our faculty and staff make UD a great place to work,” says Jerry Cutler, director of human resources. “We’re happy to show our appreciation by sharing these special Homecoming activities.”

Internet safety: Phishing

Because 2,000 members of the UD community received a May 15 phishing scam, UD IT reminds everyone of their shared role in Internet safety.

Summer parking

University of Delaware Parking Services reminds those who park on campus that all parking rules are in effect during the summer, including at parking meters that require activation at all times.

The special activities are a “thank you” to faculty and staff for their continued dedication and contributions to the campus community.

There will be special ticket promotions for the Blue Hens football game against the University of Rhode Island on Saturday, Oct. 20, and for volleyball matches against Northeastern University on Friday, Oct. 19, and against Hofstra University on Saturday, Oct. 20. The latter will feature “Hike and Spike,” with faculty and staff who show a ticket stub from the football game receiving free admission.
