Black Graduate Student Association announces service project

12:59 p.m., March 15, 2013--The Black Graduate Student Association (BGSA) at the University of Delaware will participate in a community service project at the Sunday Breakfast Mission in Wilmington from 4:30-6:30 p.m., on Saturday, March 23.

BGSA will partner with Delaware State University graduate students to help provide a warm meal for Wilmington residents in need.

May 4: Mary K. Carl Memorial Lecture

Mary G. Carey of the University of Rochester will deliver the Mary K. Carl Memorial Lecture, "Surveying and Assessing Cardiovascular Health Among Professional Firefighters," from 4-6 p.m., Monday, May 4.

May 4: Spoken-word poet

The Robert Longwell Grice Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary at the University of Delaware will host the spoken-word poet Sarah Kay at 7 p.m., Monday, May 4, in the Pearson Hall auditorium.

BGSA will help prepare and serve dinner, to be followed by a group dinner on the Wilmington riverfront.

The group will leave from the Morris Library parking lot at 3:30 p.m. Those who would like to attend should contact Asia Dowtin, and indicate if they will need transportation.
